Catan with bots

It’s always fun playing Catan with roommates and online especiall,  if I win .. lol. But, it’s fun playing with bots once in a while.

This was a close game. My first settlements are “6 – 4 – 11” and “8 – 3”. (Tip: Basically, you take brick and wood settlements if possible and expand)

Bots were competing with each other and blocked each other. As a result, two bots (yellow and blue) basically did nothing. The green one on the other hand (go green!) was ahead of everyone, even me. Having no sheep settlement slowed me down a little at the beginning of the game and was trading with the bots and bank for the sheep. (Tip: Not everyone gets bricks you see). The first city at the bricks helped me out too.

Meeting with Sondors

Today, I finally get to meet Storm Sondors, who designed the Sondors ebike. He visited SF bay area to demo his ebikes (thin one esp as it’s new). He was very humble and very pleasant to talk to.

The thin ebike looks great. I’m not gonna go into details here. You can check more about it on their website.

Good news is that he plans to bring the ebike to India and hence visiting the country soon. With many people biking an ebike, it helps to reduce the air  pollution. I wish, from the bottom of my heart, for the ebike to reach India.

Lastly, as it may have crossed your mind, I’m gonna get a new bike.

Catan – close game

One of my interests is board games. I shall be blogging about it too. One such board game is Setlers of Catan. For those who know me and are familiar with the rules, this post will be interesting. For, this blog shows my frustration.

I was one step away from winning the game. All I had to do was trade 2 wheat resources for 1 brick (as I have a settlement at wheat harbor port) and build a road to get the longest road card. That gives me 2 victory points and I win. I have enough resources to build that road even if 7 was rolled. But, Alfi won.
